Over one hundred students in Mrs. Strubhart’s U.S. History and Video Production classes completed personal interviews of United States veterans in October 2013. Using digital storytelling and inquiry – based learning, the students utilized resources from the U.S. Library of Congress and the National Archives.
This project is a collaboration with the Illinois Veterans and Community Classroom Project and a partnership with the U.S. Library of Congress to preserve the personal stories of Illinois veterans at the state and national level. The videos will be shared with the Veterans History Project at the U.S. Library of Congress, the Illinois Veterans and Community Classroom Project, and the Illinois State Digital Archives.
This website is designed to share with the O’Fallon community the stories of local veterans in the St. Louis metro – east area.
